Collection: Frida Kahlo Iconic prints
By David Morales, a devoted Mexican artist who has dedicated part of his work to Frida Kahlo. His dedication and studies to her stella nature and stories made him one of the Mexican artists chosen to officially represent Frida in the country, at her life's house and now museum "La Casa Azul" one of the most visited cultural venues in Mexico.
The series of paintings were inspired by Nickolas Muray's photography. Nickolas was Frida’s lover and a Hungarian-born American photographer. He sailed to New York City in 1913 and opened a home portrait studio in 1920. A year later, Harper's Bazaar asked him to portray a famous Broadway star, beginning a successful work relationship, that will develop into monthly publications and photographing many famous people of the time.
The prints are now available in the UK, brought to you straight from the artist's studio in México City by Chimu Market, foiled on the back for authenticity rights and printed in agave paper.
